Annual Careers Fair
Last Thursday we held our annual careers fair giving students the opportunity to speak to a range of employers and the chance to start planning their careers after school.
Students were able enquire about further education opportunities with Bath University, Wiltshire College and QA Apprenticeships, whilst others had a chance to talk to representatives from a range of different sectors including Wiltshire Police, Mercedes-Benz, The Royal Air Force, Ball Aerocan and many more. In total 17 different employers and educational services were in the school’s main hall all day for all year groups to visit and receive information.
The schools in house careers adviser said “This was a wonderful opportunity for students to meet with local and national employers and colleges to help think about their future beyond school. To have so many employers in one place was a really positive experience and one we hope to build on for next year. One employer said it was one of the busiest fairs they had attended. Many thanks to all who gave up their time to support our school.’
Students commented on the event as being “extremely helpful in starting to plan their futures”
One student said to us “there was a vast range of businesses which allowed everyone to look into many different career options. I found this very helpful in picking my next step.”
