JoG’s Got Talent

On the evening of Wednesday 18th July Wingfield Hall filled up with family, friends and staff with excitement and anticipation over an evening of talent.

14 students from KS3 and KS4 put themselves under the spotlight for this year’s JoG’s Got Talent. The evening had a mixture of dance, singing and piano playing. Many of the students who performed had never performed a solo in a John of Gaunt School concert or show before.

The judges Mrs Lydon, Mr Mockett and Miss Regan were impressed by the level of talent and had many positive comments to make. Mr Little, our host for the evening, invited each of the acts to the stage to perform their chosen number. At the interval it was time for the audience to vote. It was very close but in the end the overall winners of the evening were Tia Allis and Kim Wells from Year 9 who performed Adele’s Someone Like You with Tia on piano and Kim singing.

Well done to all of our performers, the Expressive Arts Faculty were very proud of you all and you were all winners to us!
