Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA)
The Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA) recognises success in putting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child at the heart of a school.
The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Participating in this process allows schools to evaluate their PE provision and assists them in developing an action plan for future progress.
This is a national award which shows a school’s commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles in relation to eating, exercise, mental health, drugs, personal hygiene and a range of other issues. The award shows that various parts of the curriculum, especially within PSHE (personal, social and health education), prepares young people for life after school. A key element of achieving the award is ensuring that our safeguarding procedures meet national guidelines of excellence.
