Student Leadership & Voice
The Student Leadership Team is made up of three committees (facilities, charity and social and welfare) as well as a sixth form senior team.
The Facilities Committee aims to address the issues pupils may have with current facilities and act upon ideas with improvements available to them. They would like to make school a more comfortable and enjoyable environment for every pupil. Their achievements so far include expanding the double door in Lancaster and playing a part in the development of the new Sixth Form Centre.
The Charity Committee have members from a wide range of year groups and their main aim is to raise money for the students’ chosen charities. They meet to come up with new and interesting ways of raising money and these have included a Lip Sync Battle and cake sales. They also aim to encourage school-wide participation in decisions through polls, surveys and questionnaires.
The Social and Welfare Committee aims to give a voice to students on their well-being within the school environment as well as planning and promoting social events across the school year. Their achievements so far include JogFest and providing support to students who may have issues of concern.
