John of Gaunt bookworms inspired by top author
Young bookworms were inspired to follow in the footsteps of a famous writer who has written more than 300 published titles.
Stewart Ross spoke to pupils from Year 7 and 8 at the school on the 30th October about his latest fiction book – The Salvation Project – which is set in a post-apocalyptic world where a mutation in human DNA means nobody lives beyond the age of 19. His Soterion Trilogy is proving very popular among the students.
The prize-winning author also gave tips to aspiring writers. He was really hands on with the children, gave great responses to their questions and gave them tips about how to get into this line of work.
A big thank you to all staff who helped out with the visit and to the students who represented the school so well.
