Following a murder that was committed at John of Gaunt school, we needed to call in as much scientific support as we could and our Year 9 and Year 10 super scientists where at hand!
Luckily, the 90 students who signed up for our Forensic science day were
1. Super sleuths. Fantastic at deciphering codes and puzzles.
2. Excellent Practical scientists. Following the collection of evidence from our crime scene, students carried out fingerprinting, hair and fibre analysis, (fake!) blood analysis, chemical analysis, chromatography and pathology heart dissections.
3. Creative thinkers. From the huge array of information, students were successful in finding the murderer and uncovering the motive.
