Students raising money for UNICEF and Save the Children
The year ten GCSE Citizenship group have been campaigning to raise money for UNICEF and Save the Children. Since February they have been planning the campaign and informing key stakeholders inside and outside of our school community regarding the importance of the Rights of the Child as well as the work that these charities do. The campaign concluded with a cake sale, obstacle course, balloon and football challenge and many more fund-raising ideas!
The campaign is an important part of the GCSE Citizenship course and will help the group in their exams next year.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the campaign, especially to those who baked a cake! A special thank you goes to Mrs Scott for organising the event alongside the group. The money raised during the event on the 12th July will be split between UNICEF and Save the Children. The money raised so far is still being counted!
