Year 10 JOG Science students plant trees to offset global footprints!
On Thursday, during a break in the rain, a group of year 10 science students set out to reduce their impact on the environment by planting new trees. As part of the Chemistry specification, they have been learning about greenhouse gasses and the impact of climate change and wanted to have a positive impact on their local environment. Mr Little kindly agreed to accommodate this in our wildlife area, along with support from Mrs Lindop and Mr Wroblewski. The students had a great time and have followed this up with looking into their own carbon footprints and how to reduce their impact, whilst keeping up-to-date with the climate strikes.
They would like everyone to think about how little, individual changes can have a major impact for their future!
